Woke up early to get a head start on the day. Came downstairs at about 6:30am and there in the kitchen was Chef Alan, making our breakfast of Omelettes, Hash Browns, Country Ham and Fruit. He brought gourmet coffee beans from a local roaster for the best coffee I’ve had in awhile. Breakfast was fantastic and Chef Alan even made up sandwiches to order for each of us to take along for lunch on the river for the anglers that were not on a guided trip. He even baked chocolate chip cookies for us to take as well.
Ernie, Joyce and Jeff went on a float trip on the Bitterroot River with Grizzly Hackle flyshop. Their guides were Master River Guide /Outfitter Drew Miller and Master River Guide Dave Hufman. Some good action on dry flies such as hoppers and purple mayfly attractors and Tricos as well. Here are a few pics from their day on the river.

I went with John and Katie to fly fish a nearby stream for the day. The weather was a bit off for a summer day with cloudy skies, showers and 55 degree temps.
Beautiful scenery on the river!
We got a fair amount of action from some fairly shifty fish.
Beavers and Bugs!
What a great campsite – Airstream included! Barbee would LOVE this.
We all got back to the house about 5pm and sat outside on the back deck and shared our fish stories of the day over a cold beer/cocktail. Finished up the day with a nice dinner of roast turkey breast, wild rice, steamed mixed vegetables and cranberry sauce from Chef Alan.
