Thursday, August 30th

Woke up this morning and as usual, Chef Alan was busy at his station in the kitchen:

Actually, that was a toy set that the owners of the rental house had there – must be for the grandkids?

Alan seemed to enjoy the real kitchen.

He made a bit of a Southern Breakfast for us this morning with Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs, Bacon, Fruit.

It was another beautiful day as the morning temps were at 45 degrees and the high was 74 degrees.

John and Katie went to the Bitterroot River on their second Float Trip with Grizzly Hackle Flyshop Master River Guide /Outfitter Drew Miller.

Looks like they had a great day on the water and both John and Katie landed some whopper Rainbow Trout along with a good-sized Squawfish.

Ernie, Joyce and Jeff followed along with me on a wade trip to the Big Blackfoot River made famous from the movie “A River Runs Through It”. It fished alright but some weather came through in late morning and seemed to slow the bite down quite a bit.

See no evil, Hear no evil………..wait………Hear no evil?

Got back to the house and Chef Alan was at it again. He was on the grill in the backyard grilling Beef Burgers and Portabella Mushroom Burgers and served Potato Salad, Baked Beans, chips on the side. For dessert – three flavors of ice cream and assorted toppings from the local Missoula ice cream shop The Big Dipper!
